Fender 83/84 Strat Elite Partscaster - £800

This is something you don't see every day, the 1983/84 Strat Elite was the top of the line instrument from Fender USA and quite a departure from the norm! It featured a new tremolo bridge design and featured active electronics in the shape of a 12db mid boost circuit as well as the new TBX tone control allowing you to cut the bass as well as the treble frequencies. Add to that the individual pickup on/off switches and you end up with a very versatile guitar. This was the model that Clapton based his 1988 signature model on but he upped the mid boost to 25db.

This guitar has been rebuilt and set up by me and features the original body, trem, switches and TBX tone control as well as the dummy coil under the scratch plate (although not connected).

The new parts are a lovely flamed maple, bound rosewood board ,12" radius neck, Clapton mid boost circuit, Gotoh staggered height locking tuners and Iron Gear Alnico II pickups.

All that means this guitar can go from classic 50's Strat to full on Rock machine and everything in between. An all original example will set you back around £3000 so grab yourself a bargain and experience the best a Strat can offer and much much more in this fantastic instrument.

JMT Guitars Jaguker Electric Ukulele - SOLD!

I've always liked the Fender Jaguar but I struggle with the 24" scale length so when I wanted to make my first Electric Uke what better shape to choose. The body is made from an offcut of Walnut worktop, a strip of Beech in the centre, a spalted Beech top that was hand cut to a bookmatch as my bandsaw is small (not something I would like to do too often!) and hand made Poplar binding. The neck is Sapele with a maple fret board, an 18" scale length and an Ebony nut. The inlays are my signature aluminium and brass dots with a 12th fret inlay made from a disguarded Nos (NO2) canister found in the road near my previous workplace (Recycling Rock and Roll style)!  I decided to go with an inlay layout that was a Guitar not Ukelele standard to fit the theme. This has Fender style cigar box guitar bridge and a mini humbucker. This plays as well as it looks and is just a lot of fun both to look at and rock out with!
